Stacie J. Kagan (she/her), Counselor
With 38 years in human services, I've dedicated my career to supporting and empowering adults facing chronic mental illness. My path started as a nurse's aide, followed by years in residential and group home settings, before I found my true focus in mental health in 1999 — a calling I've pursued ever since.
As a Habilitation Counselor, I work alongside individuals to help them build the skills, confidence, and support systems they need to live fulfilling, independent lives. I believe deeply in meeting people where they are and advocating for their dignity every step of the way.
Nearly four decades in this field have taught me that real change happens through patience, consistency, and genuine human connection — and I'm still passionate about the work every day.
Outside of work, I'm a proud mom of two adult children and a home full of pets — two dogs and a cat, plus the foster dogs I take in along the way. When I'm not caring for people or animals, you'll find me biking or at a concert.
