Thomas Wills, BA

Thomas earned his BA degree in Social Work from the University of Iowa School of Social Work in the spring of 2021. He received the Director’s Award for his leadership in the program. Thomas did his internship at United Community Services as a Substance Use Disorder Counselor. In October of 2021, he came onboard with New Beginnings as an in-home counselor.

Thomas is currently working on earning his master's degree in social work at the University of Iowa and is expected to graduate in the spring of 2024. Thomas plans on teaching, as well as becoming a therapist following graduation.

Thomas has been working in the field for less than a year, but has assisted those with substance use disorders and homelessness for several years. Thomas thrives on building relationships, as well as helping others to realize and meet their goals, 

Thomas enjoys working in-home services because he has an opportunity to create positive change within individuals and with all populations.
