Ames Mitchell, BA

I'm Ames Mitchell and I provide HAB and BHIS services with New Beginnings Counseling Services. I earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology at Iowa State University in 2016 and since that time I have worked serving adults, children, and families in a myriad of helping positions. These valuable community experiences have taught me to center each client as the expert of their own life experience or family dynamic. My role as a helper is to assist in the discovery of tools that will support the expert's desired outcomes.

I am currently pursuing Master's of Social Work credentialing through the University of Iowa's School of Socal Work.
