Emily Trunk, LMSW

Emily earned her undergraduate degree in social work with an emphasis in art therapy from Grand View University. After graduating, Emily gained experience in child welfare, children’s mental health, and in-home services such as attendance case management and skill development. She has worked with a wide range of socioeconomic and cultural backgrounds. Her passion for building relationships and understanding the whole family led her to pursue a master’s degree in social work from University of Iowa.

Emily sees children (3+), adolescents, families and adults. Emily works from a humanistic approach and believes each person is capable of overcoming hardship. Since working in the social work field, Emily enjoys walking alongside individuals' journeys in life and helping them work through the bumps along the way. She has training in a variety of treatment modalities and pulls from various theories to best suit each individual’s needs. Emily sees clients at the office and at Windsor Elementary.
